คนที่ผ่านการฝึกหลักสูตรนี้จะได้รับการติดเครื่องหมายฉลามขาวซึ่งเป็นความภาคภูมิใจของกองทัพเรือไทย   ได้รับผลตอบแทนที่ดีกว่าทหารทั่วไป และเพื่อนที่ฝึกรุ่นเดียวกันให้ความนับถือ

ถ้ากองทัพต้องการทหารชั้นดีฉันใด  พระเจ้าผู้สร้างมนุษย์ก็ต้องการมนุษย์ชั้นดีฉันนั้น หลักสูตรนักทำลายใต้น้ำมีสนามทดสอบจำกัดอยู่ในบางพื้นที่และมีเวลาจำกัด  แต่สนามทดสอบสำหรับมนุษย์โดยเฉพาะผู้ศรัทธาในพระเจ้ามีขึ้นในทุกสถานที่ ทุกเวลา  ทุกสถานการณ์ทั้งดีและร้าย  ใครท้อเป็นถ่าน ใครผ่านเป็นเพชร

กองทัพเรือทดสอบสมรรถนะทางด้านร่างกายของทหารชั้นดีไว้เพื่อประจำการในกองทัพฉันใด พระเจ้าก็ต้องการทดสอบบ่าวผู้ศรัทธาเพื่อคัดสรรมนุษย์ที่ดีเลิศไว้ในอาณาจักรของพระองค์(สวนสวรรค์)ฉันนั้น  มนุษย์ที่ดีเลิศที่สุดในสายตาของพระเจ้าคือผู้ศรัทธาและเชื่อฟังพระองค์

คัมภีร์กุรอานกล่าวถึงเรื่องนี้ไว้ชัดเจนว่า “แน่นอน เราจะทดสอบสูเจ้าด้วยความกลัว  ความหิว และการสูญเสียทรัพย์สิน ชีวิตและพืชผล  จงแจ้งข่าวดีแก่บรรดาผู้อดทน  บรรดาผู้ที่เมื่อมีเคราะห์กรรมเกิดขึ้นกับพวกเขา  พวกเขากล่าวว่า ‘แท้จริง เราเป็นของพระเจ้าและยังพระองค์ที่เราจะกลับไป’  คนเหล่านี้แหละที่จะได้รับความจำเริญและความเมตตาจากพระเจ้าของพวกเขา และพวกเขาเหล่านี้แหละที่เป็นผู้อยู่บนหนทางที่ถูกต้อง”  (กุรอาน 2:155-157) 

ข้อความจากคัมภีร์กุรอานดังกล่าวข้างต้นถูกประทานลงมาในตอนที่นบีมุฮัมมัดและมุสลิมอพยพออกจากเมืองมักก๊ะฮฺมายังมะดีนะฮฺในสภาพตกทุกข์ได้ยาก อีกทั้งมีศัตรูภายนอกและภายในคอยจ้องที่จะทำลาย  ท่ามกลางสภาวะดังกล่าวนี้เองที่พระเจ้าต้องการจะทดสอบความเชื่อฟังของผู้ที่กล่าวว่าศรัทธาในพระองค์ 

ไม่มีมนุษย์คนใดต้องการให้เคราะห์กรรม  ความทุกข์ยากลำบากหรือความสูญเสียเกิดขึ้นกับตน  แต่เมื่อพระเจ้ากำหนดให้มันเกิดขึ้นในฐานะบททดสอบ  มุสลิมจึงถูกสอนให้ยอมรับความจริงด้วยการกล่าวว่า “แท้จริง เราเป็นของพระเจ้าและยังพระองค์ที่เราต้องกลับไป” 

การกล่าวถ้อยคำดังกล่าวเป็นการเตือนสติตัวเองว่าชีวิตของเรามิใช่ของเรา  แต่เป็นของพระเจ้า  ดังนั้น พระองค์จะทำอย่างไรกับฃีวิตของเราก็ได้เช่นเดียวกับที่เราจะทำอะไรก็ได้กับสิ่งที่เป็นของเรา  ถ้ายอมรับความจริงนี้ได้ตั้งแต่แรก  สติจะอยู่กับตัวและปัญญาในการแก้ไขปัญหาจะเกิดขึ้น

ในตอนนั้นเอง  พระเจ้าได้สั่งนบีมุฮัมมัดให้บอกมุสลิมผู้รอดชีวิตว่า “บรรดาผู้ศรัทธาเอ๋ย จงขอความช่วยเหลือต่อพระเจ้าด้วยความอดทนและจงละหมาด เพราะพระเจ้าจะทรงอยู่กับบรรดาผู้อดทน  และจงอย่ากล่าวว่าบรรดาผู้ถูกฆ่าในหนทางของพระเจ้านั้นตาย ความจริงแล้ว พวกเขายังมีชีวิตอยู่ แต่สูเจ้าไม่รู้” (กุรอาน 2:153-154)

ถ้ากองทัพตระหนักว่าร่างกายที่เข้มแข็ง  ความทรหดอดทนและความไม่กลัวตายของทหารเป็นปัจจัยสำคัญในการรบและชัยชนะ  อิสลามก็ถือว่าศรัทธาที่เข้มแช็งจากการละหมาด  ความอดทนต่อบททดสอบและการถูกฆ่าหมายถึงการมีชีวิตใหม่ที่ดีกว่าเป็นปัจจัยแห่งความสำเร็จทั้งในโลกนี้และโลกหน้าฉันนั้น

If the army needs good soldiers, God, the creator of man, also needs good people. The underwater demolition course has a limited testing ground in some areas and a limited time. But the testing ground for humans, especially believers in God, is held everywhere, every time, in every situation, both good and bad. Those who give up are coal, those who pass are diamonds.

Just as the Navy tests the physical abilities of good soldiers to serve in the army, God also wants to test the faithful servants to select the best people for His kingdom (Paradise). The best people in God's eyes are those who believe and obey Him.

The Quran clearly states this: "We will certainly test you with fear, hunger, and loss of property, lives, and crops." Give good news to the patient, those who, when a calamity befalls them, say: ‘We belong to God, and to Him we return.’ Those are the ones who will receive blessings and mercy from their Lord, and they are the ones who are on the right path.” (Quran 2:155-157)

The above passage of the Qur’an was revealed when the Prophet Muhammad and the Muslims migrated from Mecca to Medina in a state of hardship, with enemies both external and internal, seeking to destroy them. It was in this state that God wanted to test the obedience of those who claimed to believe in Him.

No human being wants to be afflicted with calamity, hardship or loss, but since God has decreed it as a test, Muslims are taught to accept the truth by saying: “Indeed, we belong to God, and to Him we return.”

Saying such words is a reminder to ourselves that our lives are not ours, but God’s. Therefore, He can do with our lives as we can do with our own. If we accept this truth from the beginning, our senses will be with us and the wisdom to solve problems will arise.

However, when God wants to test people, He also gave the answers to the test subjects to the tested servants. The answers were revealed when the Muslims were in their first war against the invaders and many lost their lives on the battlefield. For humans, there is no greater loss than losing a life. At that time, God commanded the Prophet Muhammad to tell the surviving Muslims, “O you who have believed, seek help from God with patience and prayer, for God is with the patient. And do not say that those who are killed in the way of God are dead. In fact, they are alive, but you do not know.” (Quran 2:153-154) If the army realizes that the physical strength, endurance and fearlessness of the soldiers are important factors in fighting and winning, then Islam considers the strong faith gained through prayer, patience in trials and being killed, meaning a better life, as factors in achieving success in this world and the Hereafter.
