บันทึกความทรงจำ เดินทางไปฮัจญ์ทางเรือ

เมื่อประมาณหกสิบปีที่แล้ว  จำได้ว่าการเดินทางไปทำฮัจญ์จะไปกันทางเรือ และเรือที่รับคนไทยมุสลิมไปฮัจญ์นั้นมีชื่อว่า “ฮอยยิง” ซึ่งจอดรับผู้ไปทำฮัจญ์ที่ท่าเรือคลองเตย  เรือลำนี้ไม่ใช่เรือสำราญที่มีห้องพักหรูหราเหมือนปัจจุบัน  แต่เป็นเรื่องขนส่งสินค้าที่ดัดแปลงให้ผู้โดยสารประมาณสองถึงสามพันคนโดยสารไปร่วมกัน 

ฮัจญ์เป็นศาสนกิจสำคัญครั้งหนึ่งในชีวิตที่มุสลิมใฝ่ฝัน  ดังนั้น จึงเป็นเรื่องธรรมดาที่หากครอบครัวใดมีสมาชิกคนหนึ่งไป  คนในครอบครัวและญาติสนิทมิตรสหายจะมาส่งเพื่อเอาบุญด้วย  ดังนั้น วันที่เรือออกเดินทาง  ท่าเรือจึงแน่นขนัดไปด้วยผู้คนที่มาส่งพ่อแม่และญาติพี่น้องของตนไปทำฮัจญ์

ในตอนนั้น  กลุ่มยุวมุสลิมมัสญิดยะวาซึ่งมีป๊ะของผมรวมอยู่ด้วยจะจัดกิจกรรมบริการน้ำดื่มให้แก่ผู้มาส่งคนไปฮัจญ์และผมได้มีโอกาสติดตามไปช่วยด้วย เรียกว่าเป็นนักกิจกรรมตั้งแต่เด็ก  ว่างั้นเถอะ

ตอนออกเดินทาง ไม่มีผู้ไปทำฮัจญ์คนใดรู้ว่าวันทำฮัจญ์จะเริ่มเมื่อใด เพราะเมื่อไปถึงมักก๊ะฮฺฺ ทุกคนต้องรอรัฐบาลซาอุดิอาระเบียประกาศ  ส่วนญาติพี่น้องที่อยู่เมืองไทยก็ไม่รู้เช่นเดียวกันว่าวันอีดุลอัฎฮาตรงกับวันใด เพราะต้องรอจุฬาราชมนตรีประกาศ

ในระหว่างที่ไปช่วยป๊ะบริการน้ำดื่มแก่ผู้มาส่งคนไปทำฮัจญ์ที่ท่าเรือคลองเตย  ผมรู้จากผู้ใหญ่ที่เคยเดินทางไปทำฮัจญ์ทางเรือเมื่อ 60 ปีก่อนว่า จากท่าเรือคลองเตยไปถึงท่าเรือญิดด๊ะฮฺต้องใช้เวลาเดินทางอย่างต่ำ 2 สัปดาห์  หากเดินทางจากหมู่เกาะอินโดนีเซียต้องใช้เวลาประมาณหนึ่งเดือน

ด้วยความเป็นเด็ก  ผมเคยสงสัยว่าถ้าย้อนไปในยุคที่โลกยังไม่มีเรือยนต์ คนไปทำฮัจญ์โดยเรือใบมิต้องใช้เวลามากกว่าหนึ่งเดือนหรือ?  ผมถามป๊ะว่าเมื่อสองร้อยปีก่อน คนที่อินโดนีเซียรู้ได้อย่างไรว่าวันใดเป็นวันออกอีดใหญ่(อีดุลอัฎฮา)?  เพราะตอนนั้นยังไม่มีโทรเลขหรือโทรศัพท์ในการติดต่อสื่อสารให้คนที่ไปทำฮัจญ์แจ้งข่าวมายังพี่น้องของตนที่อินโดนีเซีย

ป๊ะตอบว่า “มีสิ  อัลลอฮฺให้วิธีการสื่อสารบอกวันฉลองอีดุลอัฎฮาแก่มุสลิมทุกแห่งบนโลกนี้ไว้เป็นพันปีแล้ว  ดวงจันทร์ไง  อัลลอฮฺให้ความสะดวกแก่มุสลิมทุกที่บนโลกใบนี้  อยู่ที่ไหนก็ดูดวงจันทร์ที่นั่น  เมื่อรู้ว่าวันที่หนึ่งเดือนซุลฮิจญะฮฺเป็นวันใด  วันที่สิบเดือนซุลฮิจญะฮฺก็ออกบวช”
