มนุษย์ถูกสร้างมาเพื่อ?

ในบรรดาสิ่งถูกสร้างทั้งหมด  มีแต่ญินและมนุษย์เท่านั้นที่ได้รับการบอกถึงวัถถุประสงค์ในการสร้างว่าเพื่อการเคารพภักดีพระเจ้า เพราะทั้งญินและมนุษย์มีสติปัญญาและเจตนารมณ์เสรี

สภาพดังกล่าวจึงต้องมี “ความเชื่อและการเชื่อฟัง” เป็นองค์ประกอบสำคัญ  ด้วยเหตุนี้  สิ่งถูกสร้างทั้งหมดในสากลจักรวาลรวมทั้งร่างกายของมนุษย์จึงเชื่อฟังพระเจ้าโดยไม่ฝ่าฝืนหรืออิดเอิ้อน  ด้วยการเชื่อฟังเช่นนี้  สิ่งถูกสร้างทั้งหมดจึงอยู่กันอย่างสงบและเป็นระเบียบเรียบร้อย  สภาวะเช่นนี้เองที่เรียกว่า “อิสลาม” ซึ่งหมายถึงการยอมจำนนต่อพระประสงค์ของพระเจ้า

แต่เพราะมนุษย์มีสติปัญญา  พระเจ้าจึงต้องการทดสอบว่ามนุษย์ผู้ศรัทธาในพระเจ้าจะเชื่อฟังพระเจ้าหรือไม่

ศัพท์ในคัมภีร์กุรอานหลายคำไม่สามารถถ่ายทอดเป็นภาษาอื่นได้หรือถ่ายทอดได้ก็ไม่ครบตามความหมายของคำ  คำว่า “ยะอฺบุดูน” ถูกแปลเป็นภาษาอังกฤษว่า Worship ซึ่งหมายถึงการแสดงความเคารพสักการะสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ที่อยู่ข้างหน้าในพิธีกรรมบางอย่าง  แต่ไม่มีแนวความคิดเรื่องการเชื่อฟังอยู่ในความหมายของคำ  ดังนั้น  เราจึงเห็นคนกราบสักการะสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ในพิธีกรรมบางอย่าง  แต่พอพ้นพิธีแล้ว สิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์ก็ไม่มีคำสั่งอะไรไห้เชื่อฟัง

ในอิสลาม  พระเจ้า(อัลลอฮฺ)เป็นสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์เพียงสิ่งเดียวที่มุสลิมแสดงความเคารพสักการะในพิธีละหมาดโดยการยืน  โค้ง  กราบและนั่ง  แม้ไม่มีรูปวาดหรือรูปปั้นพระเจ้าอยู่ข้างหน้า  แต่พระเจ้ามีคำบัญชาและคำตักเตือนให้ทำตาม  ดังนั้น  การเชื่อฟังและทำตามคำสั่งของพระเจ้าในคัมภีร์กุรอานหรือแบบอย่างคำสอนของนบีมุฮัมมัดในชีวิตประจำวันจึงเป็นการแสดงความเคารพสักการะพระเจ้าด้วยเช่นกัน

ด้วยเหตุนี้การแสดงความเคารพสักการะพระเจ้านอกเหนือการปฏิบัติศาสนกิจจึงทำได้โดยการเชื่อฟังและปฏิบัติตามคำสั่งของพระเจ้าในชีวิตประจำวันตั้งแต่ในครอบครัว  ในที่ทำงาน  ในตลาดหรือแม้แต่ในสนามรบ  ในอิสลามจึงไม่มีพระหรือนักบวชที่คอยทำหน้าที่นำพิธีเคารพสักการะสิ่งศักดิ์สิทธิ์

Jinn are inhuman beings created from fire. Humans cannot see them, but they see humans created from clay. Jinn existed before humans because God mentioned Jinn before humans. When creating Adam, God commanded Jinn to bow down to Adam, but Jinn did not do so. This shows that Jinn existed before humans.

Among all the creations, only Jinn and humans are told that the purpose of their creation is to worship God because both Jinn and humans have intelligence and free will.

The Arabic word used in the Quran to tell us the purpose of creating humans is “Yabudun” which has roots in a word that means “the relationship between master and slave”. That is, when the master orders something to be done, the slave or slave must do it.

Such a condition must have “faith and obedience” as an important element. Therefore, all creation in the universe, including the human body, obey God without disobeying or being lazy. With such obedience, all creation lives in peace and order. This condition is called “Islam”, which means submitting to the will of God.

However, because humans have intelligence, God wants to test whether humans who believe in God will obey God or not.

Many words in the Quran cannot be translated into other languages ​​or if they can be translated, they do not fully understand the meaning of the word. The word “Yabudun” is translated into English as Worship, which means showing respect to the sacred object in front of you in some rituals, but there is no concept of obedience in the meaning of the word. Therefore, we see people worshiping the sacred object in some rituals, but after the ritual is over, the sacred object does not command them to obey.

In Islam, God (Allah) is the only sacred object that Muslims show respect for in prayer by standing, bowing, prostrating and sitting, even though there are no pictures or statues of God in front of them. But God has commands and admonitions to follow. Therefore, obeying and following God's commands in the Quran or the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad in daily life is also an act of worship of God.

Therefore, worshiping God outside of religious practices can be done by obeying and following God's commands in daily life, whether in the family, at work, in the market or even on the battlefield. In Islam, there are no priests or clergy who lead the worship of the sacred objects.

The following passage makes it clear to us why God created humans.

"God, who created death and life, is to test you to see who among you is the best in deeds." (Quran 67:2)

The reason Adam had to be sent out of Paradise to this world was because he disobeyed God even though he believed in God. Therefore, if Adam's descendants wanted to return to the home from which his parents, Adam and Eve, left, the only way was for them to believe and obey God.
