A miracle refers to a miracle that humans cannot create or control. Therefore, magic is not a miracle because magic is a mystical science created by humans who possess knowledge of this subject.

A miracle can occur only because a supernatural being wishes it to happen according to his will. Or it may occur through a prophet as evidence that the prophet is truly divine.

In ancient Egypt, the Pharaoh professed to be a god. The sorcerers who influenced the Egyptians' minds were part of the reason for his power. When God ordered Moses to tell Pharaoh that he was not a god, but that he should worship God like any other human being, Moses demonstrated divine proof by throwing his staff to the ground and transforming it into a large snake before the Pharaoh.

Rather than accepting the evidence Moses presented, the Pharaoh believed that what Moses was doing was magic that could be performed by Egyptian sorcerers at that time. So he summoned a sorcerer to perform the same act as Moses.

When the sorcerer threw a rope or branch onto the ground, it transformed into a small snake in the eyes of the people. But when Moses threw his staff down at God's command, his staff transformed into a large serpent, destroying all the smaller snakes. Sorcerers insisted that Pharaoh's demonstration was not sorcery but a miracle of God, and they embraced Moses' God. However, Pharaoh still did not believe it.

God then demonstrated his power to Pharaoh in the form of unprecedented natural disasters, such as the waters of the Nile turning the color of blood and an infestation of frogs and locusts destroying the Egyptian crops. Yet, Pharaoh still did not believe it was a miracle from God.

The birth of Jesus from the virgin Mary was a miracle God intended for the Israelites, who had broken their covenant with God and were so arrogant that they even killed some of God's prophets. God intended Jesus to be born without a father to demonstrate to the Israelites His power over natural laws. But the children of Israel still did not believe.

Therefore, God bestowed upon Jesus miracles that could not be accomplished by the Romans, despite their advancements. For example, Jesus could heal the blind and lepers, revive the dead, and mold clay into living birds. These miracles were not performed by Jesus himself, but by God's will. Nevertheless, the Israelite community leaders did not believe in God and even plotted to exterminate Jesus.

The Prophet Muhammad was born in Arabia, where Arabs were so proud of their language that those who could not speak Arabic were considered tongueless. Therefore, those who were poets and could compose beautiful poetry were highly respected. Furthermore, sorcerers and witches also used Arabic spells to enchant people.

For this reason, God revealed the Quran to the Prophet Muhammad. When Arab poets and sorcerers heard the Quran, they all recognized that what the Prophet Muhammad recited was a language that surpassed poetry and was not a form of witchcraft. The Quran was a miracle, as everyone knew that the Prophet Muhammad was illiterate. Furthermore, God challenged all mankind to write a verse that resembled the Quran, but to this day, no human has fulfilled God's challenge.

Beyond its literary marvels, the Quran also contains knowledge that inspired Arabs, once despised by the Romans and Persians as barbarians, to become the pioneers of world civilization for thousands of years.

In fact, the Prophet Muhammad was blessed with more miracles than any other prophet. However, since these miracles have all passed away, the Quran remains the only miracle and wonder from God that will endure until the end of time.
