แมลงวันกับการแพทย์ในอิสลาม

 ท่านศาสดามูฮัมมัด ได้กล่าวว่า “เมื่อมีแมลงวันได้ตกใส่ภาชนะของพวกท่านคนใดคนหนึ่ง ให้เขากดมันให้จมไปทั้งตัว หลังจากนั้นให้เอาทิ้งไปเพราะปีกข้างหนึ่งจากสองปีกของมันนั้นเป็นยาและปีกอีกข้างหนึ่งของมันเป็นโรค” รายงานโดยท่านบุคอรี นะซาอี และท่านอบีดาวูด

             
หะดีษนี้นับเป็นหะดีษที่รู้จักกันแพร่หลายมากที่สุด หะดีษหนึ่งในหมู่ชนมุสลิมทำให้เขาได้รู้ว่าแมลงวันนั้นเป็นสัตว์ที่ต้องระวังเพราะมันมีเชื้อโรคหรือสามารถนำโรคมาให้เราได้แต่ในขณะเดียวกันเขาก็ได้รู้ด้วยว่าภายในแมลงวันตัวเดียวกันที่นำโรคมาให้มนุษย์นั้นกลับมียาที่จะรักษาโรคนั้นๆรวมอยู่ด้วย

แมลงวันบ้าน มีชื่อทางภาษาอังกฤษว่า HOUSE FLY และมีชื่อทางวิทยาศาสตร์ว่า Musca domestica จัดเป็นแมลงชนิดหนึ่ง ขนาดเล็ก ประกอบด้วย สามส่วนคือ ส่วนที่หนึ่งคือส่วนหัว (Head) ซึ่งจะมีปากไว้ดูดอาหารได้ ส่วนที่สองคือส่วนอก (Thorax) จะประกอบด้วยปล้องสามปล้องและมีขาคู่หนึ่งออกมาในแต่ละปล้อง จึงมีขางอกออกมาทั้งหมดหกขาและปีกสองปีกอยู่เหนือขาปล้องกลาง ส่วนที่สามคือส่วนท้องหรือลำตัว (Abdomen) ซึ่งจะมีกระเพาะอาหาร ลำไส้ และระบบย่อยอาหารอยู่ภายในด้านข้างของลำตัวจะมีท่าหายใจโผล่ออกมาเป็นแถว ๆ ท่อที่ใหญ่ที่สุดจะอยู่บริเวณส่วนอกใต้ปีกสองข้าง ส่วนท่อเล็ก ๆ อื่น ๆ อยู่บริเวณท้อง ตัวโตเต็มวัยจะมีชีวิตประมาณ 17-29 วัน

วิธีการฆ่าตัวเชื้อโรคของสิ่งมีชีวิตเหล่านี้ก็โดยการไหลออกมาตามท่าหายในที่อยู่ข้างลำตัวมั่นนั่นเอง โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งท่าหายในที่ใหญ่ที่สุดจะอยู่ตรงบริเวณหน้าอกใต้ปีกของแมลงวันเอง
