Humans are created beings who possess both a body and a soul, constituting life. The human body is temporary, but the soul does not dissipate with the body when it leaves the body. It must continue on its journey to the afterlife.

Humans have a great deal of knowledge about physical health, but little is known about the human soul, even though it is the true essence of human life. Knowledge about the soul is therefore crucial for humans. Misconceptions about the soul play a significant role in causing humans to fall into ignorance and unable to shed certain impurities from their minds.

Many people believe that the soul of the deceased returns to visit their families out of concern, so they hold ceremonies to welcome the visit. The Pharaoh believed that his soul would return to his body, accumulating vast wealth during his lifetime by oppressing and exploiting his people.

Knowledge about the soul is not found in scientific textbooks because humans do not create the soul. To gain this knowledge, one must study the religions of God, the Creator of man.

The soul, which humans believe exists but is invisible, confirms that time travels in a straight line like light, and that every human life travels on a straight line of time. Therefore, life's time is not a circle. The cycle of reincarnation, the cycle of human life, is but a small knot on the thread of time, with no end in sight.

Just as a human being emerges from the womb and cannot reenter the world of the womb, a departed soul cannot return. Dead people do not quarrel or betray each other because the soul does not reside in the body. Therefore, it is the soul that directs the limbs, ears, and eyes to do good or evil. If humans view death as being like an animal that is not responsible for its own actions, disaster will rapidly spread to society, and the law will be unable to control such individuals.

Five lions in a zoo that attacked and killed a person who fed them did not face trial because they lack intelligence and freedom of choice. However, humans are not animals, and humans must therefore be held accountable for the sins and evil deeds they committed. Although the law cannot punish them in this world because their bodies have decayed, the soul, the true life, remains, and God, the owner of the soul, will personally punish them, for God is just.

No scientific instruments can see the soul. To this day, no one knows how the soul enters and leaves the body. Only God knows. But the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) told him that souls who do good and have faith in God will leave their bodies as easily as water flowing from a spout, and that angels will wrap them in a fragrant white cloth and ascend to heaven. Souls who commit evil deeds and disbelieve in God will leave their bodies like cotton wool or cotton wool pierced by a roasting iron and pulled out. Then, angels will carry the smelly cloth and take them to the heavens above.

The soul will be brought back to this world to see its body being washed. Once buried, it will remain in the grave, a world between this world and the next, awaiting the Day of Resurrection, the judgment that will come at the end of the world.

The Quran states on the Day of Judgment: "Whoever does even an ounce of good will see it, and whoever does even an ounce of evil will see it." (Quran 99:7-8)

In God's court, there is no need for witnesses, as the records of human actions are recorded by angels and submitted to God weekly. Moreover, every part of the human body bears witness.

The fate of each human soul rests with God's judgment, and the soul must carry that fate on a thread of time, with no end in sight.
